Course Overview
The College Graduate Certificate program in Advanced Health Care Leadership emphasizes the development of leadership skills to meet the healthcare needs of the population, effectively manage healthcare operations, and devise innovative, practical solutions for intricate challenges.
Participants will learn to integrate theories of patient and family care into current practices, tailoring them to diverse cultures, behaviors, situations, and environments. Essential leadership concepts, along with enhancing patient outcomes through quality improvement and patient safety, form the core of this program.
Students will apply these professional leadership concepts while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team in an organizational setting. Outstanding students may have the opportunity to compete for a field placement during their final term as an alternative to the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Project.
Admission Requirements
A university degree in a health care field.
This program is not suitable for students with a dentistry or pharmacy background.
English Language Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate language proficiency by submitting one of the following scores:
- IELTS of 6.5
– or –
IELTS of 6.0 + Completion of EAP-3106 (English for Academic Purposes) during first term of study. - TOEFL iBT 79
