Course Overview
The Graduate Certificate program in Financial Planning & Wealth Management is designed to ready individuals who have completed university or college education for a fulfilling and promising career within the financial services field. Students will acquire specialized career proficiency, technical know-how, and sales capabilities essential for employment in various financial institutions such as banks, credit unions, mutual fund companies, investment firms, stock brokerages, independent financial planning businesses, and insurance companies. The program’s concluding phase involves a co-op placement in the financial services industry, providing students with the opportunity to gain practical experience through on-the-job training or by working on an Applied Project.

A university degree.
English Language Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate language proficiency by submitting one of the following scores:
- IELTS of 6.5
– or –
IELTS of 6.0 + Completion of EAP-3106 (English for Academic Purposes) during first term of study. - TOEFL iBT 79

TOEFL 70 + Completion of EAP-3106 (English for Academic Purposes) during first term of study. - Passed Lambton Institute of English placement test
Kindly be aware that the Study Direct Stream (SDS) program exclusively acknowledges IELTS as the valid proficiency score. Additionally, specific requirements tailored to individual countries may also be relevant.
Fulfilling the minimum English proficiency prerequisites does not automatically secure admission. Applicants boasting superior English proficiency scores will receive preferential consideration during the admission evaluation.
It’s essential to note that not all students will meet the criteria to substitute EAP-3106 for the obligatory IELTS or TOEFL test scores.
